What is your approach as a Cinematic photographer?
The cinematic approach is truly my favorite which is why Im in it! My approach is a blend of storytelling and posed imagery. You will never be left in the dark on how to pose because I get it, the camera comes out and it can be intimidating. During portraits you will be directed, I will guide you 100% of the way. But why this is different than a traditional posed style of photography is because the cinematic approach brings movement and sometimes games into your session such as playing tag, running, jumping, cartwheels- okay maybe not cartwheels, but prompts and poses! Throughout your wedding day, I adjust my approach to match the moment. At times I will step in and direct, and other times I will step back and document quietly so genuine moments can unfold naturally. I want to capture the true and genuine moments of this time. Think of your favorite romantic film, if someone were staging every emotion, it wouldn’t feel the same. The magic is in what unfolds naturally.
